Welcome to the Digital Collection! It is our goal to make as many archival resources available to you as we can. Priority collections we plan to digitize include serial publications generated by the college, such as academic catalogues, yearbooks, and various student publications. We are pleased to introduce our first of many digital collections, the Albion College Pleiad.
Take a walk down memory lane with our student newspaper, the Albion College Pleiad! This digital collection of high resolution, fully searchable PDFs spans December 1883 to April 1999. Simply browse items chronologically or search for a particular year or keyword.
See below for complete instructions on how to search the Albion College Pleiad Digital Collection.
For more recent issues, check out the current Albion Pleiad website with coverage from April 2009 - Present. Please note this gap in the documentation (2000-2009). Please contact us for assistance if you do not find the date of publication you need.
Click on the Digital Collections tab and select "Browse Digital Collections." You can do a general search from this page using the search bar in the upper right corner.
Click the purple "+" next to the magnifying glass search button. Choose the type of search you want (e.g. keyword vs. exact match). For example, searching the keyword Jack Sharp yields 1,512 results. Searching the same term as an exact match yields 41 results.
Click to select one of the PDFs from the list of results, then click on the front page image to open the document.
Hit Ctrl+F (press both Ctrl key and F key, then release both at once) to search the document.
Enter your search term (again) in the upper right corner search bar. Any matches will be highlighted in blue within the Pleiad articles.
